The Batman

I had a lot of fun drawing this. I wanted to try something new, so taking inspiration from critically acclaimed DC Comics artist Jim Lee, I came up with this. It was interesting using black as a solid colour to represent darkness and shadow, I've never done it before and Jim Lee always does it with incredible effect. I also take a lot of inspiration from Australian artist, Patrick Brown (no relation). This incarnation of Batman was inspired by the 2013 Batman: Arkham Origins.

This was created from an initial pencil and pen on paper sketch, before being scanned onto my computer and imported into Clip Studio Paint. The basic line art and flat colours were conducted, before being exported into Adobe Photoshop for all remaining effects.
